As many of you know, I’ve started doing some designing. There are certain techniques I use a lot, and I wanted to make sure all of you have easy access to them, both for the lefties like me out there, and also for my right-handed students and anyone else who wants to see my versions. There’s now a Love-Drenched Knitting and Crochet YouTube channel, plus I’m starting a tutorial library here on our site. Be sure to check out our new video pages for lefties and righties or both.
The videos are very obviously ‘homemade’ while everyone is out. Just me, the camera, and a tripod. I bought some jumbo needles and jumbo yarn just for the videos so they would be easy to see. The only problem is, I’m not used to straight needles or jumbos, and it feel really funky! Fun, but awkward and funky.
Since it’s not a professional set-up, I had to work in an imaginary plane in order to get it onto the video, propping up my elbows, doing a lot of guessing, and hoping it was in the frame. Occasionally you’ll see a bit of the top of my head, or parts of my hands disappear off the top of the screen; but hopefully there’s still enough info there that they will be helpful.
